Experience the unique fauna and flora of this high-altitude ecosystem, located at an altitude of 3800 meters above sea level. Visiting a private reserve in the Páramo de Sumapaz will make you feel as if you have arrived on a different planet.
Difficulty: This trek is highly challenging. You must be in excellent physical condition to handle the low air pressure found above 3500 m.a.s.l. The trails are often uneven, steep and muddy, with an elevation gain of 400 meters starting from 3400 meters. Bear in mind that every hour spent on a hike at elevated altitudes is equivalent to two hours at normal sea levels.
